Experience Emeryville Yacht Club

Thank you for your interest in joining the Emeryville Yacht Club (EYC).  We are a casual club focused on having fun on the water.  Membership is open to all persons, twenty one (21) years old or older, of good reputation, with a sincere interest in the purpose for which Emeryville Yacht  Club was founded, and who has a boat, with a galley and a head, capable of participating in the Club’s cruise outs. A limited number of non boat memberships will be approved. 

 

When you join Emeryville Yacht Club, it's like joining a family.  Our members have a wide range of boating experience, from those new to boating to "old salts" who have sailed the world.  The club has just as wide an array of boats, from small sailboats to luxury motor yachts.  We glean from each other's knowledge, and someone is always willing to lend a helping hand.

You'll fly Emeryville Yacht Club's burgee proudly, as your membership offers reciprocity with other yacht clubs through our membership in the Pacific Inter-Club Yacht Association (PICYA).  This reciprocity usually entitles you to guest docking and use of the clubhouse and other facilities of PICYA clubs at a reduced cost.

 

Our members have found that having an Emeryville Yacht Club membership card provides a warm welcome at clubs across the United States, and around the globe. We have exchanged club burgees with over 60 clubs and our members are proud to be ambassadors from Emeryville Yacht Club.

Emeryville is conveniently located with some of the most spectacular views of San Francisco. 

 

Because we have no fixed facility to maintain, we are able to keep our annual dues at an affordable level.  While it is true that we are the best value on the bay, partly due to not having the financial overhead of a clubhouse, we've never lacked for fun!  We get creative with our gatherings, thus we've implemented "docktail parties," meeting on members' boats or marina space.  We hope you will join us!
