About Our Club
Emeryville Yacht Club was founded in 1989 under the name North Star Yacht Club, to promote good fellowship among its members and to yachting in general, promote boating safety and education, and provide its members with boating and social activities. It was renamed Emeryville Yacht Club in 1999. As a member of the Pacific Inter-Club Yacht Association (PICYA), we are are a casual club focused on fun on the water with family and friends. We have over 100 individual members who love using our boats!

When you join Emeryville Yacht Club, it's like joining a family. Our members have a wide range of boating experience, from those new to boating to "old salts" who have sailed the world. The club has just as wide an array of boats, from small sailboats to luxury motor yachts. We glean from each other's knowledge, and someone is always willing to lend a helping hand.

Some of the benefits of membership include the following:
SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

Emeryville Yacht Club hosts some truly exceptional events for our members such as our popular Docktails, Dinners, Costume Parties, and seasonally themed events.
CRUISE OUTS

We set sail to other yacht clubs, anchor out at destinations around the bay as well as down the coast and up into the delta. Cruising with other boaters is a great way to have fun while building skills and learning from our experienced members.
TRAINING SEMINARS

Boating safety and education are paramount in all our activities. We offer USCG Aux vessel safety checks, classes on anchoring and mooring, as well as basic skills and boating responsibility.
